Latest Men’s Shirt Trends for 2017
Shirts can be basic or statement-makers. Discover the 9 latest men’s shirt trends that’ll really make a statement in 2017.Hey, handsome! The button-up shirt is a classic and every man’s wardrobe staple. But add a little twist, and it becomes a point of interest – a conversation starter or even your own signature style. So, if you want to try something new, then try some fresh and unusual styles to look trendy (and perhaps, to even woo your girl)! That’s why we went through all the Menswear 2017 designer runway collections to predict what men’s shirt trends will rule this year. Let’s check them out:
1. Graphic Art Shirts
Art meets men’s fashion in this new trend. We saw artworks and handmade art printed onto button-up shirts, giving a bold new look. Pair them with patchwork or velvet trousers to stand out!
2. Stylish Statement Shirts
The button-up shirt goes experimental with color and pattern. The plaid shirt by Givenchy makes a statement with two different check styles, sewn asymmetrically. The cuffs also use the darker shade. The tie is put inside a pocket sewn in the center. With this trend, you can look like a fashion pro!
I also love the pairing of a striped full sleeved shirt with a half sleeved logo denim shirt. Great for casual wear.
3. Statement Button Placket
The simple button placket just got super stylish! In Dolce & Gabbana, we saw ruffles on the hemline of the button placket. It gives a retro 18th century twist. The look by Versace had a different color for buttons and the placket.
4. Classic Striped Shirts
Striped shirts are classy and are a timeless menswear essentials. But this season, the simple yet classic striped shirts have so much to offer like broad stripes, pinstripes and pajama stripes.
You can pair vertical striped shirts with horizontal striped sweaters like in Dior and Givenchy collections – Stripes on stripes never looked this sexy. The Valentino pinstripe and broad striped combo shirt looks office-ready.
The gold striped black shirt by Versace had small arrow shaped prints instead of normal stripes. In another look by Versace, we saw patchwork on a striped shirt.
5. Chinese Collar Shirts for Men
Chinese collared shirts are making waves this season. For a casual look, pair them with a tee shirt like the outfit by Hermès.
