‘Istanblu’ as they call it, resonates their experiences and inspirations from a recent expedition to Istanbul. The blue canvas collection which is an ode, or a travelogue diary are nothing but pure vivid memoirs of their Turkish voyage. ‘Istanblu’ is aesthetically nestled between two diverse continents, cultures and two distinct walks of life, and is their signature interpretation of Turkey’s architecture forms and monumental figures. From the Royal palaces of the Ottoman empire to the trendy buzz of Bosphorous, two very extreme civilzations live together influenced by Islamic architecture but has hints of Christian elements as well. Unique motifs, intricate embroidery work, lush rare motifs and shades of azure blue are a few key things that define the modern couture collection by SVA, meaning ‘soul’ in Sanskrit. Check it out!
